If the engine block is cast as a 427 there will be room to overbore it, w/o risk of running out of wall thickness. There was always the old trick about a #2 pencil fitting between the bores inside the water jacket when talking about which 396's can be bored to 454 size. If the pencil fits between the bores,the block is too thin,if you cant fit it,the block should take the bore.

Your cylinders will most likely not have the reliefs in them to clear the crank counter weights as the 3.76" crank clears without them. If you have then all well and good.

I think very similar to a 327, which was ideal. 350 SBC used the same length rods as a 327. To fix a 350 ya' need to put 6" rods in it to make it more like a 327. I used the stock rods and ordered a set of forged pistons. They are TRW from SUmmit Racing. They are the 427 pistons, no need for special rods or cutting pistons. 454 uses the same bore as a 427.
